Email और Gmail के बीच में main difference यह है कि ,email internet के through यानि communication network पर digital massages को भेजने और प्राप्त करने का एक तरीका है.इसमें text, graphics, images और video भी शामिल है. जबकि Gmail एक email provider है जिसे Google द्वारा बनाया गया है .
Email एक technology हैं, एक format है जबकि Gmail एक Application हैं.

E-mail का Full form “Electronic mail” है . इसे Electronic devices (smartphone , laptop, tablet , desktop) का use करके internet की help से Digital messages, documents, files को send और receive करने का एक electronic तरीका है .
ये Almost सभी electronic devices में in-built support होता हैं.

Gmail का full form “Google mail” है. Google का Gmail most popular email services में से एक है. यह free और user friendly है Gmail एक  platform है जिसके जरिए email भेजा जा सकता है.ये अपने users को email messages भेजने और receive करने की permission देता है,जब email को Google के through से send किया जाता है ,तो इसे google mail या Gmail कहा जाता है.

इसे google द्वारा start की गई यह google की most popular और दुनिया भर में सबसे ज्यादा use की जाने वाली email service हैं. जो users को internet के माध्यम से email भेजने और receive करने का काम करती है. जीमेल के web -based interface को किसी भी computer या mobile पर web browser के जरिए access किया जा सकता हैं. और ये almost सभी devices में Gmail application in-built रहता है.

Gmail ने communication की facilitate को पहले उन लोगों के लिए design किया गया था जो google में काम कर रहे है , हालांकि बाद में publicly launch किया गया और समय के साथ कई features और integration add किए गए Gmail बहुत ही कम समय में popular हो गया क्योंकि यह users की जरूरत के हिसाब से gigabyte messages और data को store कर सकता है.
जीमेल वर्तमान में हर एक users accounts को 15 GB free storage space देता है . Gmail POP (Post Office Protocol) और IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) protocol का use करता है. ये email protocol basically users को different devices और platforms पर server से अपने email receive या download करने में help करता हैं.
